BOHEMIAN BLACK GIRL with JANELLE POSEY-GREEN, LCSW

Janelle Posey-Green, LCSW received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of New England. She is currently the school based health center clinician at John B. Stanton Elementary school. Janelle is also co-owner of Magnolia Wellness, LLC a private practice in New London, CT. She works as a community organizer and started the non –profit, Southeastern CT Naturalistas. The goal of the organization is to inspire and educate people of color to embrace and learn to care for their natural hair. Janelle is a member of the National Council of Negro Women New London Chapter. Most recently Janelle was accepted into the Doctor of Social Work program at USC where she will be studying innovation, leadership, and advanced management practice in complex systems.
